When Macula Consulting, a start-up venturing into the immersive world of virtual reality, needed to establish their identity and make a bold statement in their industry, they turned to us. Their challenge? Transforming an ambitious vision into a cohesive brand and digital presence.
Our mission? To collaborate with Macula and transform their abstract idea into a dynamic, expressive, and visually striking brand—ready to hit the tech world with full force.
Name Generation
Our approach started with getting to the heart of what Macula stood for. We wanted to create a brand that felt alive—something bold, meaningful, and inspired by the very essence of their VR work.
“The macula is the part of your eye that processes what you see directly in front of you.” Bingo. We felt this name reflected the clarity, focus, and immersive experience that virtual reality embodies. Not only was “Macula” short and memorable, but it also elegantly tied into their VR-centric purpose. The client loved it, and so did we.
Once we had the name, we built a brand identity that would not only turn heads but also stick. The bright, energising colour palette we developed reflected the vibrancy of Macula’s VR experiences and paid homage to the concept behind the name. Each hue was chosen to evoke creativity, energy, and excitement—just like stepping into a new virtual world. The palette became a foundational element for their branding, consistently applied across digital assets, print materials, and the website.
