EFEST – Ecophon
Born Agency were approached by Ecophon, a manufacturer of acoustic panels, baffles and ceiling systems to contribute to a good working environment – to create a sales and product launch event in the midst of a global pandemic…
Many agencies would cower in such situations – but not us.
With the usual face to face event being out of the question, we had to think differently. Working closely with the client, we pitched a vision of a virtual music festival, tying into the ‘Sound Effect On People’ ethos of the business, as well as being a welcome nod back to reality.
Creating some noise
Before putting pen to paper, we brainstormed ideas as a team and presented them back to the client. Pitching the idea of multiple music festival related items wrapped up in a branded box which auto played a personalised promotional video.
A buzzing brand
We wanted to create a unique identity that linked back to the umbrella Ecophon branding. At this point, the name of the virtual festival was born. EFEST, linking back to Ecophon as well as referencing the fact it is all digital. We even animated the logo to show it’s full form, ‘ECOPHON FESTIVAL’.
The brand then transferred into headers throughout the campaign sharing the rectangular shape from the logo.
Signed, Sealed, Delivered
The entirety of the box included, branded lanyards which showcased the itinerary of the day as well as a bespoke 3D festival map with QR code links employees could scan for more information. Festival T-Shirts that included bespoke product names in the style of artificial bands. Bespoke branded wristbands. Branded drinks bottles. Branded power banks. As well as a pop up crowd that sat within the box to add an additional dimension to the experience. As well as all of this, the employees open the box to be presented with a completely personalised promotional video welcoming them to the virtual event.
These were all packed personally and shipped out to each individual employees home two days prior to the event.
Prior to the event, to drum up some excitement, we created multiple e-mailers to be sent out to the employees.
Each one featured quirky music lyrics as headers that were relevant to the main message of the mailer.
Did someone say music quiz?
In order to break the day up and add a competitive element to proceedings, we introduced a music quiz which all employees could engage with. To keep everything on brand, we developed a bespoke PowerPoint design for the music quiz questions to sit within.
The video that was included within the lid of the box featured a bespoke personalised welcome at the start, which then fed into the main promotional message welcoming them to the event and giving them an insight as to what will be happening throughout the day.
