Bikes, brands, and Born

This weekend are the penultimate races in the Lincoln Festival of Cycling with the Lincoln Grand Prix on Sunday.

With so much cycling across the county no wonder we’ve got our eyes on the weather ready to watch some great events. And if any of you know Shaun (our Account Director) out of all us, he is the biggest cycling fan and even supports some of Britain’s top young cycling talent (his own son!).

Shaun has always been a keen cycling fan. His sons have even followed, and now cycling is a fully family affair. Shaun helps support his family in training and racing on top of his parental duties. Including competitive and training duties. From nights in the impressive Derby Velodrome to weekends trawling trough muddy off-road racing!

As an agency we’re keen to develop our clients marketing and design, as well as ourselves professionally and personally. One of these is through a great work/life balance and pursuing passions outside of design. We took even further with cycling when we decided to support Shaun’s families cycling future.

One way we’ve helped is providing transport for the racing bikes and kit. Helping Shaun and his family get to races across the country, allowing to keep a competitive edge. Partnering with Just Vehicles Solutions who provided a new VW Transporter Van. We even used our expert design skills to create a striking eye-catching graphic wrap to promote Just Vehicles new solution to cyclists and teams.

Shaun and his family now compete across the country (and if you follow our Twitter you might spot a few pictures and results!) With a bit of support from Born, we’re pleased to say one of the Coles is now part of a cycling athlete development programme with one of the best athletic institutions in Europe.

And our interest in cycling doesn’t stop with Shaun and the team. Our bike brains helped develop a brand, website and print for a local Cycling Themed Coffee Shop. You can see more of this project here.
